What is the validity of my CDSL authorisation?

debit your account for a transaction on one day, that authorisation is only valid for that day. After that day, you would need to reauthorise any further transactions. This is a security measure put in place to prevent unauthorised transactions from taking place on your account. The authorisation is good for any trades that are executed during the day, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After that, you'd need to start fresh with a new authorisation.

Every trading day after 8 a.m., a fresh authorization must be given if the holdings are to be sold. Except for AMO, all CDSL TPIN authorizations received after 5:00 PM and before 8:00 AM will be declined.

Note: To avoid sending CDSL TPIN authorisation requests each time they place recurring purchases like GTT, clients can provide DDPI and a POA.
