Why doesn't my Limit order execute sometimes even if the price shows on screen?

The limit order does not always execute even if the stock reaches the limit price because orders are executed on a 'first come, first served' basis, i.e., the exchange's queue system.

This means that if there are multiple bids at the same price and only one counter-bid, the person who placed the first bid will have their order filled.
