Why was my account opening application put on hold?

If any required documents of account opening are missing/mismatches the application will be put on hold and you’ll have to send the required documents again.

Apart from this, document related rejections may arise due to the following reasons:

  • PAN

    • The photocopy of the PAN provided does not have a signature- Sign in the Applicant signature box o n the PAN and self attest the copy.

    • We need a new PAN copy of your PAN because the one we received has a blurry or illegible photo.

    • Your PAN card's photocopy is blurry; if possible, send us a clear copy via email.

    • You must give us a copy of your PAN card that you have self-attested, because the copy we have is not self-attested.

  • Income proof

    • Your proof of income is inadequate to activate derivatives. If you want to activate F&O segments, you must provide the necessary documentation, which is stated below, in order for your request to be approved.

      1. An Updated 6-month bank statement.

      2. The latest three months' worth of pay should be on the pay stub.

      3. The most recent fiscal year should be acknowledged in the ITR.

  • Bank details

    • Bank statements must include the IFSC code and information about bank accounts.

    • The name on your PAN does not match the name on your bank statements or cancelled cheques. You have to provide us the bank proof with the same name as per your PAN. This is necessary for us to continue processing your application.

    • There shouldn't be a password on the provided bank statement. Please send us the unlocked version.

  • Address proof

    • The submitted address evidence must be self-attested.
    • Address proof and your PAN have different names. You have to provide us the address proof with the same name as per your PAN. This is necessary for us to continue processing your application.
    • The address evidence that was provided is not clear, thus you must provide us with a clear self-attested address proof photocopy.
    • Your given address proof does not match the correspondence address you entered on the KYC page. Send us a fresh KYC sheet if your address does not match the proof you have provided.
    • Your proof of address does not match the permanent address you entered on the KYC/POA/ECN page. Please email us a new KYC/POA/ECN sheet or address verification that matches the information you provided
  • Nomination

    • If the nominee is a minor, we will require information regarding the nominee's guardian, their relationship, and their date of birth in order to process the application.
    • If your application has multiple nominees, please specify the percentage share that each nominee should get.

In any of the aforementioned situations, you will receive a call from a representative of ours and receive an email communication from us outlining the reasons the application was suspended and providing suggestions on how to have it completed successfully.

The application will be suspended and you will need to resubmit the necessary documents if any of the required account opening paperwork are missing or do not match.
